WALT: Find and validate data measures. Eg Mean,Median,Mode and Range from appropriate displays.

Median- The middle number in the set of data. Eg: 1,2,3,4,5. 3 is the middle number.

Mode- The number you see the most. Eg: 1,2,2, 3,,5. The most numbers shown is 2.

Mean- You calculate all of the data and divide it by how many numbers there are. Eg: 1+2+5+7+10+9=34 and then you divide 34 by 6 and that equals 5.6. Average.

Range- You take the highest number and take away the lowest number. Eg: 1,5,8,10. So you go 10-1=9

My Strengths

The striking strategies I was able to effectively demonstrate during the games we played were standing side on and having a firm and correct grip on whatever you are batting with because when I was doing my first and last game had to hit the ball and this is what I did really well.

The throwing and catching strategies I was able to effectively demonstrate during the games we played were Cup your hands or reverse cup as early as possible and Soft hands for catching because those techniques helped me catch the ball and throw it better.

My Next Steps

To improve my striking of a ball I need to Play through the shot - follow through. because when I hit the ball I didn't hit it very far and I think that this technique would help me better.

To Improve my catching and fielding I need to Look at where you are aiming to throw the ball. Point to where you want the ball to go because when I threw the ball it was not straight.

The game that I enjoyed the most was rounders because it helped me improve on my technique and it was really fun.

Leadership meeting merit badge #5

Today Lauren and I had a meeting with Mr Brown. (The teacher that helps us with house points)
It was a little bit difficult when we had to type down what we do and when we do it.
I had to show resilience when we had to write down everything we do every week.
We put everything on a doc and it was shared with my actual teacher and some other people.

Technology merit badge must do #1

On Tuesday the year 7 and 8 students went to technology at another school. When I was on the bus on the way there, I was sitting with Hannah and I only talked to her and nobody else and on the way back I was sitting with Grace and Brooke and again I only talked to them.

When we arrived at technology we went to our class which is textiles or sewing as we call it.
I showed the CARE values at the school by respecting the students and also showed them on the bus when people were getting on and off I waited for them and I also said hello and thank you to the bus driver when we got on and off the bus.

Kapa Haka Merit badge #3

Today at Kapa Haka Hannah and I went to go and get the poi's and we were meant to use them, but instead we didn't need them we just sang the whole time. All of the year 8 girls had to show resilience because we got really excited about using the long poi, but we get to use them next week. We are all so excited !!!

This week we were learning about why we should not or should change the NZ flag. I think we went good because we got it all done on time and we got to have our own opinion.

This week in our leadership meeting Lauren and I were doing pozis and emailing some teachers about some stuff that is coming up in a e few weeks. I showed resilience when I was doing this because some teachers were not replying and the pozis kept getting mixed up. We also had to get all of the house points for the assembly that day
